Procaine hydrochloride 100 mg — one 5 ml ampoule, intramuscular injection
The dose is adjusted individually, based on the medical consultation. Every substance is pharmaceutical grade, given intravenously for higher bioavailability.
Gerovital H3 contains procaine hydrochloride, 100 mg in a 5 ml ampoule, and is a prescription medicine, not a supplement. The leaflet requires a procaine sensitivity test before treatment starts: a small amount is first given under the skin, and after 24 hours the test is repeated intramuscularly. A first-time patient cannot receive the injection on the same day. It is given strictly intramuscularly, only at the clinic, with an observation period afterwards. The intravenous route is contraindicated. Also contraindicated in hypersensitivity to procaine, severe low blood pressure, uncontrolled epilepsy, second- or third-degree atrioventricular block without a pacemaker, and alongside sulfonamides or acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. The leaflet provides for a course of three injections a week for four weeks; the schedule is set by the doctor.
We assess your health and decide whether this protocol is right for you.
You are seated comfortably. The IV cannula is placed and monitoring begins.
The infusion is given slowly, under medical monitoring, for optimal tolerability.
Afterwards you stay at the clinic for the observation period, under monitoring.
This is the authorised indication of Gerovital H3, a prescription-only medicine. It is not given on request, but after a medical assessment and only if the procaine sensitivity test is negative.
The full list of contraindications is discussed during the consultation.
The active substance is procaine hydrochloride. One 5 ml ampoule contains 100 mg, together with the excipients in the formulation. It is the medicine developed from the work of Prof. Dr. Ana Aslan.
Yes. Gerovital H3 injection is a prescription-only medicine, not a supplement. It is given after the medical assessment at the clinic.
Because an allergic reaction to procaine is the main risk, and the leaflet requires testing before treatment starts. It is done at a separate visit: first a small amount under the skin, and after 24 hours the test is repeated intramuscularly. A first-time patient cannot receive the injection on the same day.
No. The leaflet provides for strictly intramuscular administration, and the intravenous route is listed under contraindications. We give the intramuscular injection only.
The injection itself takes a few minutes, plus the assessment beforehand and a short observation period afterwards. It is done at the clinic.
The leaflet describes a course of treatment, not a one-off injection: three times a week for four weeks, repeated a few times a year. The schedule and duration are set by the doctor, according to the indication.
300 RON, with the medical assessment included. It is given only at the clinic in Bucharest.
