Vitamin D 100,000 IU, injection
The dose is adjusted individually, based on the medical consultation. Every substance is pharmaceutical grade, given intravenously for higher bioavailability.
High-dose injectable vitamin D is a prescription medicine, not a supplement. It is given after a medical assessment, and the dose and repeat interval are set according to your serum 25-OH vitamin D level — testing beforehand is recommended. Vitamin D is fat-soluble and accumulates: a high dose given without an indication is not risk-free.
We assess your health and decide whether this protocol is right for you.
You are seated comfortably. The IV cannula is placed and monitoring begins.
The infusion is given slowly, under medical monitoring, for optimal tolerability.
Afterwards you stay at the clinic for the observation period, under monitoring.
For most people, daily oral supplementation is the first option and is enough. The high injectable dose is decided at the assessment, ideally starting from your serum 25-OH vitamin D level.
The full list of contraindications is discussed during the consultation.
It is an intramuscular injection, given by medical staff in a few minutes — not a drip.
The dose and interval are set according to your vitamin D level — ideally based on a blood test. It is not repeated at random; too much vitamin D is not harmless.
Mild, passing discomfort at the injection site. You can go back to your activities straight away.
Contraindications include hypercalcaemia, kidney stones and certain other conditions. That is why we recommend measuring your vitamin D beforehand. It is checked at the consultation.
