Intravenous support during injectable weight-loss treatment

English translation of content medically reviewed in Romanian by Dr. Claudiu Ruscu, intensive care physician (anaesthesia & intensive care)· Romanian text reviewed 20 September 2026

Fluids, electrolytes and micronutrients given intravenously at the clinic, under medical supervision, for people on injectable weight-loss treatment during periods when their oral intake of fluids and food is low. A session takes 60–90 minutes, with a single venous puncture. It is NOT intended for: weight loss (it has no effect on weight); treating, relieving or counteracting side effects of the injectable treatment; replacing a consultation with your prescribing doctor; people without a prior medical assessment. We do NOT discuss doses, titration schedules, brand names or sources of the injectable medicine — these are solely for the doctor who prescribed it.

Read the medical guide first — when it is indicated, which tests it requires and how long it takes to see an effect.

Given exclusively at the clinic, not at home, and only after a medical assessment. See all prices.

Active ingredients

Rehydration solution with electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium) and micronutrients, in a composition set by the doctor at the assessment

The dose is adjusted individually, based on the medical consultation. Every substance is pharmaceutical grade, given intravenously for higher bioavailability.

Given only after a medical assessment confirming that it is suitable and that there are no contraindications. The injectable weight-loss treatment remains solely in the care of the doctor who prescribed it.

The SYNERVA method

STEP 01

Consultation

We assess your health and decide whether this protocol is right for you.

STEP 02

Preparation

You are seated comfortably. The IV cannula is placed and monitoring begins.

STEP 03

Administration

The infusion is given slowly, under medical monitoring, for optimal tolerability.

STEP 04

Monitoring

Afterwards you stay at the clinic for the observation period, under monitoring.

Indications

  • ✓Low oral fluid intake over periods of a few days, confirmed at the assessment
  • ✓Low food intake that does not cover your electrolyte and micronutrient needs
  • ✓Periods when the treatment schedule is being adjusted, as set and followed up by your treating doctor
  • ✓Situations in which your treating doctor has recommended supporting your fluid and electrolyte intake

It is not a weight-loss method and does not replace the instructions of your treating doctor. It is decided at the assessment, case by case, and can be stopped at any time.

Contraindications

  • ✕Heart or kidney failure that limits the volume that can be given
  • ✕Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • ✕Known electrolyte imbalances that have not been investigated
  • ✕Pregnancy and breastfeeding, unless indicated by your treating doctor
  • ✕Known hypersensitivity to the components of the solution
  • ✕Signs of severe dehydration, persistent vomiting or severe abdominal pain — these mean the emergency department, not a support drip

The full list of contraindications is discussed during the consultation.

Frequently asked questions

Will the drip get rid of my nausea or tiredness?

+

No. We do not treat or relieve the side effects of the injectable treatment — those are for the doctor who prescribed it. What we do is provide fluids, electrolytes and micronutrients when your oral intake is low and the assessment shows it makes sense.

How long does a session take?

+

60-90 minutes, with a single venous puncture. You lie down, monitored, and leave straight afterwards.

What does the drip contain?

+

A rehydration solution with electrolytes — sodium, potassium, magnesium — and micronutrients. The exact composition is set by the doctor at the assessment; it is not a fixed recipe.

Will it help me lose weight faster?

+

No. It has no effect on weight and it is not a weight-loss method. If anyone tells you otherwise, they have no way to back it up.

Should I tell my doctor I’m coming here?

+

Yes, and we encourage you to. The injectable treatment remains in the care of the doctor who prescribed it; we do not change it, stop it or discuss doses.

What happens at the medical assessment?

+

We check your medical history, current medication, blood pressure, kidney and heart function, and whether there are any contraindications. If it isn’t suitable, we tell you, and you leave without booking anything.

How much does it cost?

+

450 RON per session, with the medical assessment included.

Can it be done at home?

+

No. It is given only at the clinic in Bucharest, because the first assessment and the monitoring require a clinical setting.
