NAC or glutathione — which should I choose?
NAC is a precursor of glutathione (it helps the body produce it), while glutathione is administered directly as an antioxidant. The choice depends on your goal and your state of health. It is best decided based on the medical assessment.
NAC (N-acetylcysteine) and glutathione are closely linked: NAC is a precursor from which the body synthesises its own glutathione, while a glutathione IV drip supplies the antioxidant directly.
For some goals NAC may be preferred (for example, supporting the airways or the liver), for others glutathione itself. Often, the choice depends on your state of health, on contraindications and on preferences.
There is no universal answer — the decision is best made at a medical assessment, where we discuss what suits you.
