The dose is adjusted individually, based on the medical consultation. Every substance is pharmaceutical grade, given intravenously for higher bioavailability.
We assess your health and decide whether this protocol is right for you.
You are seated comfortably. The IV cannula is placed and monitoring begins.
The infusion is given slowly, under medical monitoring, for optimal tolerability.
Afterwards, we check how you are feeling. You can leave straight away.
The full list of contraindications is discussed during the consultation.
The double dose of NAC usually takes 40-60 minutes, given slowly, under medical supervision.
That is decided at your consultation, depending on your goal. The 1200 mg dose is for intensive antioxidant support and is not given according to a fixed schedule, but based on your assessment.
The drip is usually well tolerated; occasionally, a faint, passing sulphur-like smell. You are monitored throughout and can go back to your activities afterwards.
The contraindications include uncontrolled asthma, an active ulcer, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and allergies to any of the components. They are checked at the medical consultation beforehand.
