Frequently asked questions

How long does the Biotin IV drip take?

+

It usually takes 30-40 minutes, given slowly, under medical supervision.

How often can I have intravenous biotin?

+

The frequency is decided at your consultation. Results on hair and nails take time and depend on several factors, not just on a drip.

What will I feel during and after the drip?

+

Usually you won't feel anything in particular during the drip, apart from the small prick when the cannula goes in. Most people go back to their usual activities straight away. You are monitored throughout.

Who should not have Biotin IV?

+

The contraindications include pregnancy and breastfeeding, and allergies to any of the components. Note: biotin can interfere with some laboratory tests — tell the doctor if you are due to have blood tests. This is checked at the consultation.

How much does the Biotin IV drip cost?

+

300 RON, medical assessment included. Available at the clinic or at home in Bucharest and Ilfov, with transparent pricing.
